Local first

Full editing without an account

One editor

The same tools as the web app

Desktop, thoughtfully

Native where it matters. Familiar everywhere else.

The desktop app keeps the editor you already know, then adds the file, window, recovery, and menu behavior expected from a dedicated creative tool.

Your SVGs are real files

Open from Finder, drag files into the window, save in place, or export through a native destination picker.

Built to protect the source

Atomic saves, external-change detection, lossy-import warnings, and unsaved-work guards keep originals recoverable.

A proper desktop workflow

Independent document windows, native menus, Open Recent, right-click actions, keyboard shortcuts, and window-aware routing.

Recovery that stays out of the way

Bounded per-window crash recovery restores unfinished documents without silently replacing another open file.

The editor works offline

Drawing, importing, native files, templates, history, and export remain available without an account or connection.

Connected only when you choose

Sign in for optional cloud documents and hosted tools. Local work is never uploaded merely because you opened the app.

Quiet confidence

Fast enough to disappear. Careful enough to trust.

Desktop behavior is designed around recoverability: incoming files never replace unrelated work, imported features that may change are called out, and a crash does not mean starting over.

Desktop private beta

Ready when your next path is.

The complete local editor is free to use. An account is optional, and your local SVG files stay on your computer unless you choose a connected feature.

  • macOS 12+ and Windows 10/11
  • Native Apple silicon, Intel, and Windows x64 builds
  • Automatic signed updates after installation
Signed beta in final verification

The first public installer is almost here

Release engineering is implemented; signing, notarization, and clean-machine acceptance remain the publication gate. We will never substitute an unsigned public download.

Platform roadmap

Built for Mac and Windows.

We will advertise a platform only after its installer, file associations, secure storage, updater, and clean-machine workflow have been verified natively.

Release candidate

macOS

Apple silicon and Intel builds. Native files, menus, Keychain, recents, updater, multi-window recovery, and Finder Open With groundwork are implemented.

Release candidate

Windows

Per-user x64 NSIS packaging, Authenticode signing, updater artifacts, and native CI are integrated. Publication remains gated on clean Windows 10/11 acceptance.

Planned beta

Linux

Debian and AppImage targets are configured. WebKitGTK, keyring, installer, association, and updater behavior still require native verification.

A few useful details

What to know before installing the private beta.

Is the desktop editor free?+

Yes. Local drawing, SVG files, import, history, templates, and export do not require an account. Optional connected features remain plan-gated.

Does it upload the SVG files I open?+

No. Native files and recovery data remain on your computer unless you explicitly copy a document to Cloud or use another connected feature.

How are updates delivered?+

Published builds use signed update artifacts. The app verifies an update before installation; unsigned local development builds keep the updater disabled.

Can I keep using the web editor?+

Absolutely. The browser editor remains the fastest way to start, and both versions share the same editor and local-first product principles.
